I know this has been asked before and I searched the forums but did not find the answer I was looking for.

I am a newb and don't know much about signal strength. I had the system "professionally" installed and on 110 I get a signal strength of 36 and on 119 I get signal strength of 66.
I have not had blackouts or drops but does signal strength affect picture quality?
Other than messing with the dish, what is the best way to increase strength?
Can I buy an amp and where is the best place along the line to install it?

Thanks.

First off :welcome to the site.

Second No amps

Third yes dish needs to be probably re-tuned.

What receiver(s) do you have?

Welcome to the site.

The 110 and the 119 signals should not be that low as 36.. Maybe the 129 dish maybe that low.
