On the HD dvr receivers the guy said the signal goes as high as 70 percent on these boxes is this true?? When I had it before it was in the 90 percent range but it was a stranded box. Don't know if the guy doesn't know what he is doing or not.

70's are very good numbers. Sounds like your installer is doing a good job.

It's not your DVR. It's your new Eastern Arc (Turbo HD) dish. I have one too. The signals are lower than what we had before but it works. I was even fine during that blizzard back in late February.

They did a software change a year or so back that changed the signal strength readout. I used to have a lot of transponders read between 90 and 110. Now they read between 50 and 70.
