sir-ts360 Component vs. DVI

Just bought a Samsung DVD-HD841 player.

Sales rep suggested i use the DVI from DVD player (above) to the single DVI port on my SONY Grand Wega, and use the component option from My Samsung HD receiver (SIR-TS360) to the Sony GRAND WEGA.

My question is, how much quality if any will I lose from my by samsung
sir-ts360 by doing this. Is the component output comparable to the DVI output on this unit
