I can listen to the Spa Channel online, and it shows what it's playing. Right now, they are playing John Gregorius's The Expansive Sky. I can see what they're playing in my car. I can see what they're playing on my Dish Network receiver (though they don't carry the Spa Channel).

I cannot find out what is playing on any of my Alexa devices by voice query. Even Alexa devices with a display (FireTV Stick and Echo Show) don't show it either. Very annoying. Does anybody know to whom I should complain? I would guess SiriusXM wrote the app.

And now I have an even bigger beef with Amazon. They eliminated the MP3 cart! I see no way to buy individual tracks any longer. Even auditioning is harder.

Fortunately, you can still buy individual tracks from Google Play Music and download them. Any others? They seem to have better quality than Amazon anyhow.

Now I have yet another beef. I have two car radios subbed at the moment. Why do I only get one stream? If I leave my Dot playing, but can't figure out what song it is as I described above, I start up my computer to stream the same channel and find out what it was. After a very few minutes, it cuts me off because my singular stream is already in use. :(

Looking at my account each radio has it's own id and password so I would think each id would have access to it's own stream. I'll have to try later and see.

I have three and like I mentioned each has its own username/password
You get one stream per active radio. As mentioned above you have to go into your account management screen and setup individual streaming ID‘s and PW’s for each radio on the account.

Apparently SiriusXM streaming servers are unable to count to 2. :crying

Just following up on my own thread. Went on SiriusXM chat this morning and the rep said the same thing as you above.
  1. You don't need a 2nd account, but you do need a second username, which she gave me. Password can be the same.
  2. Chat rep acted like she could not put in a request for an Alexa skill upgrade to make this unnecessary (for me). :(

I primarily use my Echo Dots in stereo + sub configuration, and I am reasonably impressed with the sound quality on music.

But! You still can't ask Alexa what she is playing and expect her to say anything other than "This is <channel name>". I don't think this is ever going to be fixed.

And if anybody is thinking of buying the new 4th gen Echo Dot, just don't. Sound is inferior to my 3rd gen Dots. I sent the damn thing back and put the money on a 3rd gen Echo which has adequate sound. Not as deep as my sub of course, but surprisingly good from a cylinder so small. I was afraid to buy the 4th gen Echo because it too is spherical like the Dots these days.

On my Hopper 3 & 4K Joey, it’s channel 099-68.

You have me curious, I’m going to have to try this out. I’m using Mrs. Foxbat’s SiriusXM account to stream to our HEOS account, so I can stream without using the App. If I then open the App on my phone, I can see what happens.

Hmmm, my Denon Home 150 speakers are still streaming, as is my iPhone. It seems to be fairly close in-synch, too.

edit: after several minutes, a George Winston piano tune shows that the delay is about two seconds, the iPhone behind the Denon Home speakers.

I hate the fact that there is a delay ...
I happen to listen to Channel 84 in my truck on the way home (ESPNU), I walk in the house and turn the same station on in the house on my Alexa Echo Show .. and the program is about 3-5 minutes behind what I was listening to in the truck.

The other thing I have happening is if I'm listening to say a show on ESPNU (or any other channel really) on my Show and I go to a different room where I have a dot, turn the same channel on and its about :30 seconds behind.
Frustrating ....

Well I'll be darned. I stand corrected. Unfortunately I can no longer edit my post to get rid of that misinformation.

Did you try setting up a multi-room music group?

I discovered a slight wrinkle to report.

When I am hearing something I like on Spa via streaming from SiriusXM, I couldn't get Alexa to tell me what it was. So, after setting up a 2nd account as n0cqu told me I must, I quickly start up player.siriusxm.com on my PC logged in on the 2nd account, and that shows me what is playing including track and artist names, and in some cases album art showing me the album it came from. So that's working.

The wrinkle I discovered yesterday is that I can apparently stream the same channel from multiple Alexa devices at once, despite the fact that they're all logged in on my original account. What I haven't tried yet is whether you can stream one channel from one Echo and listen to another channel on another Echo. Anybody tried that?

Edited to add: OK I tried it. There appears to be no stream limit to Alexa devices and you can have different channels on two Echoes, and possibly on every Echo device you own.

I was going to post something like that, I have cases where I may use the computer at work to listen to Sirius while also having my Echo or Dot at home streaming different channels .... occasionally I'll get a brief interruption but I just log off and back on and all is fine.

Well... I thought I had the problem solved when I discovered the Song ID feature. Unfortunately, it only works for Amazon Music "at this time".

Here we are 1yr later and I still cannot learn what song is playing on my Dots via voice query. In fact, it's getting worse! If I bring up the online player to view this info, I can't even look at the title (not hitting the play button) without my Dots switching to white noise. Every other SiriusXM outlet I know about allows me to view what song is playing. Bah, humbug.

I hadn't seen this thread before.

There is no limit I have found to how many streams of SiriusXM to Amazon devices you have. However if you stream to a mobile device (Cell, Tablet, Computer) that is the only stream you can have for that sign in. That's either using the Siriusxm app or the Alexa app. At least that's how it has worked for me over the years.

It's true Amazon/Alexa has never had the ID information. And what you describe is indeed new. I recently realized if I even open the SiriusXM app it stops the stream to my Alexa device(s). Since we have three radio's with a subscription to online streaming I made the Amazon account a different sign in than for any other devices. Since doing that I found far less times of SiriusXM stopping for no apparent reason over Alexa. And we have more flexibility in multiple people streaming.
