SkyAngel IPTV and Media Center 2005

Can anyone please help me to figure out how to get SA and MCE2005 working together, in particular how I can use Media center to schedule and record shows?

You need an "IR blaster" type device. They not only receive IR (infrared) signals from a remote but they can also transmit IR signals to control a set-top box.

They talk about using a coax cable to the MCE tuner card but it may work with a video cable (composite, s-video or component) from the SA box to your MCE card. I don't use MCE so I don't know for sure. I know it would work with some of the other available media center software.

If your current remote receiver does not support transmitting IR, you could get one like this.

Says it will control any set-top box but I don't know for sure if it works with the SA box.
