Slimline in Alaska / Hawaii?

I noticed on lynsat locals for AK and HI are on the 103 KA satellite. Do DTV subs in AK and HI use a normal slimline dish to receive locals or is there an alternative set up there.

I am new to D* tv. Can I get the slimline 5 running in Hawaii? I talked to an installer and he said that you get 70+ reception but that was off the record. Anyone have any other info about the types of dishes you can use in Hawaii?

As of April of this year they were installing two 1.2 meter dishes for Directv reception.
