So MLB sells Extra Innings as a "see every out of market game live" channel and then sells out to NBC and Peacock for every game on a holiday weekend. Blatantly false advertising.
Yes, but its not D* ...So MLB sells Extra Innings as a "see every out of market game live" channel and then sells out to NBC and Peacock for every game on a holiday weekend. Blatantly false advertising.
no they weren't. The first two innings were though as the Braves/Mets game was rain delayedUnless your the Over Exposed Yankees, in which you were on the OTA NBC
When have they said that recently? There are plenty of exceptions for each team with Peacock, AppleTV and Netfilx having some games. Heck the MN Twins (the team I sub to) has had SEVEN games on "national spots" (AppleTV and Peacock) in May, June and today. I dont remember in April if they had any (and it doesnt show that online)So MLB sells Extra Innings as a "see every out of market game live" channel and then sells out to NBC and Peacock for every game on a holiday weekend. Well, when I flipped on NBC and looked in the guide, just said Yankees Braves were scheduled.no they weren't. The first two innings were though as the Braves/Mets game was rain delayed
July 5, 2026 "Star Spangled Sunday" MLB Schedule
12:30 p.m. — N.Y. Mets at Atlanta Braves — NBC/Peacock
...
1:30 p.m. — Minnesota Twins at New York Yankees — Peacock
The guide was wrong for you then. Twins played the Yankees. Mets played the BravesWell, when I flipped on NBC and looked in the guide, just said Yankees Braves were scheduled.
Hmmm ...The guide was wrong for you then. Twins played the Yankees. Mets played the Braves
There is no package available to buy that has ALL of the games live. MLB-TV states: Watch EVERY out-of-market game LIVE or on demand at MLB or ESPN (subject to blackout restrictions). So yesterday you could not watch the games LIVE on MLB-TV but 90 minutes after the game ends you could watch the OnDemand version of them. Also note the "subject to blackout restrictions" clause.IF you have a Package that gives you ALL the Games, it should give you ALL the games, if it's on Peacock or Amazon or whoever, it should still be on MLB.TV
It covers All games Outside of the Local and the National market games ... at least it Use to ...There is no package available to buy that has ALL of the games live. Those all are "national markets". It has been many years since the only "national markets" were ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX. I even remember the time when FOX didn't even exist. No Amazon or Peacock or ESPN or Tru TV or TBS or any other BS channel that shows a game and calls themself a National Market ...
Same here ... I remember when we only had 3 channels. Those all are "national markets". It has been many years since the only "national markets" were ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX. I even remember the time when FOX didn't even exist.
Mets on WORI remember braves on TBS lol
Cubs on WGN
Nothing on? Really?Same here ... I remember when we only had 3 channels.

Kiner's Korner brought to you by RC Cola!Mets on WOR
To push back on your opinion. No one has ever seen how much MLB makes. Yes its entertainment, but to blame players I find wrong. Even the worst player is very talented thats why they are professionals.Nothing on? Really?
AFAIC, we've now reached a point where there's almost too much to choose from. As far as sports go, I'm old enough to remember needing a radio to listen to games so paying a few buck to watch, well, I'm okay with that. And, while this may not apply to everyone, I've found that people who are fast to insist that their favorite team spend millions to sign the best players are also the ones complaining about what it costs to watch a game on TV.
Have you looked at the price of tickets lately? You could probably pay for a full season and not miss one game you really want to see for less than the cost of going to one game.
The referance to 257 Channels and Nothing on was a line from a Springsteen song ... not that I actually meant that.Nothing on? Really?

I'm not sure where you got the idea that I was blaming anyone, let alone the players. This is just pure supply and demand. As you say, there's a limited number of people capable of playing professional sports. They can get whatever they can get and good for them.To push back on your opinion. If they had profit sharing everyone would be on the same page.
Is it expensive? Absolutely! But millionaires fighting billionaires is what it is. A player only plays a few years, owners own till they sell. If they were losing money turnover would be yearly! When was the last team to sell?
