Meters work great as long as you KNOW what they are telling you ...

For a person that sets up a dish once in awhile, theres really no need for one .
If your setting them up for work, using them regularly, yes.

If you don't have any meter, including the on screen receiver signal strengths, then how would anyone point a dish at all? You cant go for best picture quality.

I was referring to an addl meter ... not the recvr meter ...
I recommended he use the recvr signal meter.
