Has anyone heard any rumors about controlling TV2 only on a 722/622 via SlingGuide?

I would like to put my 722 in dual mode and hookup my Slingbox Solo to the TV2 outputs. I would disable the Slingbox IR blaster. The TV2 output would be controlled via software over the internet. No UHF to IR conversion needed.

This would allow me to watch the DVR recordings via the Slingbox while I am on the road and my wife could watch HDTV via TV1 at the house.

The only negative I see is my wife would lose PIP why I am on the road.

I am curious if anyone has heard anything along these lines.

I second that! Looks like a software update is in order. The only problem is Dish seems to have forgotten about the VIP612.

Yup. It seems that the last software update was in August 2008. Considering I have only had mine for a couple of weeks, this is unacceptable. If it is obsolete, they should not be selling them to people.

The funny thing is that the 612 and 622 are supposed to be identical except for the dual tuners in the 622.
