Isn't today the day when Dish officially releases their big plans for this year?

When they say HD locals aren't coming to DC anytime soon, I'll be switching to Directv or cable where I can get them today. But I thought I would at least give them a chance...

If you look at the photos in the CES forum, you could get a glimpse of Today's date. Expect all HD to be active by 5pm ET or pacific according to Scott.

According to the Voom website... The new Voom channels are not going to be up until 2/1/06. Scott is trying to confirm this as he was told otherwise yesterday. Stay tuned.

Really I just want my Atlanta Locals in HD and an MPEG 4 Box all the rest I could care less when it comes up......I for one watch alot of network TV and seeing my Falcons in HD will be awesome....

Was checking the Voom site too and everything new is listed as starting 2/1/06. Why would they wait until then? not enough content?

Come on Dish lite this sh*t up!

Something tells me that Feb. 1 will be the launch date of the MPEG4 upgrades, too, and that probably means that the new VOOM channels will be in MPEG4 only.

Let's see...

Drop VOOM resolution...check

Reduce planned number of VOOM channels to improve quality...check

Decide to stay at reduced resolution anyway...check

...and now we delay the launch of the reduced number of HD-lite channels...

imagine that.

Asking everyone to bumrush the E* booth at CES and stomp some mudholes in peoples asses till they act right *check*

This is getting rediculous!! Like I have said numerous times all this wouldn't be such a big deal if they would state thier plans from the start and not say one thing and do another......In the words of my bud Napoleon Dynamite "this is will be the worst CES ever GOSH!!!"

Found in Vooms Source ***21 channels***

Charlie and E* have operated this way for years, why change now???

So, even if they did turn all this crap on, wouldn't I need a new dish and receiver to get them anyway? Not to mention subscribe to the channels?
