Well another Charlie Chat is coming up tonight.

What will Charlie Talk about?

The only two things I see him mentioning is HDTV moving off or 61.5 / 148 and a demo of the new PlayJam interactive channel being introduced on the Dish Home Interactive OpenTV platform.

Since no official press release has come out yet about the price increase I can't honestly say if he will talk about it tonight, but if he does, I believe we should ALL call in and try to get on the air to OINK LIKE A PIG.

What do you think Charlie will talk about?

Plenty of video of CES with the pig highlighted. They could probably do the whole show based on CES footage.

They will brag about how well orders are coming in for their industry leading (cough) HTDV service. They will not mention the delays being massive in GETTING a HDTV unit installed.

They will spend a lot of time bragging about local market #100. They will show charts postponing the 11 markets they projected "by the end of January" until "the end of February" ... or add in the eight new LILs and put it all as "by the end of March".

They will show cheesy video. (Given.)

They may promote the new highly interactive BingoTV channel to launch next month, and have it's creator on as a guest.

They will bash Viacom and Turner/Time Warner as much as they dare while not annoying them enough for Viacom to pull the plug on CBS locals this close to the Superbowl.

People will start seeing the rate change with their next bill, so it must be mentioned. Scaleless graphs will show the skyrocketing cost to them of only expensive programs, and a slight incline on the price to customer. The graphs will not be accurate including ALL of the channels in AT60/120/180.

If one caller asks a good question, Charlie will flub the answer - and later on fire the screener.

I love how charlie talks about cable companies raising the rates on his website. Yet he plans on raising rates. LMAO. I would have at least removed that before I decided to raise my rates. We all know what he is going to say tonight. Nothing compelling that is for sure, just like the HD content that is out there.

And will he announce the Bingo Channel which is now uplinked but the first Bingo Game does not start until Feb 4th.

I believe this is a Spanish channel, but I guess some dont care when it comes to this type of programming as they are not paying attention to what they are saying.

No the channel is not Spanish. Reading around on Privates website, this channel appears to contain "All European" content.

I am not saying he shouldn't raise his rates. But he should not talk crap about the cable companies for doing it. When he knows and we know he will have to. I am a business owner I know about rate increases. I don't think my comment earlier came across right. I don't think he should eat the costs, just don't publically bash for someone else raising rates. That my friend is Hypocritical.
