2/13/2007: 0927 Software Version L4.14 for DVR522

Effective Wednesday, February 14th, Engineering plans to spool a PARTIAL PHASE of software version L4.14 for the DVR522 receiver. This is primarily a non-forced maintenance release available at ALL satellite locations.
At this time L4.13 and L4.14 will be the valid software versions for the DVR522.


2/13/2007: 0926 Software Version L4.14 for DVR625

Effective Wednesday, February 14th, Engineering plans to spool a PARTIAL PHASE of software version L4.14 for the DVR625 receiver. This is primarily a non-forced maintenance release available at ALL satellite locations.
At this time L4.13 and L4.14 will be the valid software versions for the DVR625.

Effective Wednesday, February 14th, Engineering plans to spool the FULL PHASE of software version P2.78 for the DP111 receiver. This is primarily a non-forced maintenance release available at ALL satellite locations.
At this time P2.78 will be the valid software version for the DP111.

At this time 8.61P will be the valid software version for the 2700/2800/3700.

Effective Thursday, February 8th, Engineering plans to spool a PARTIAL PHASE of software version 8.61P for the 2700/2800/3700 receiver. This is primarily a non-forced maintenance release available at ALL satellite locations.
At this time 8.60P and 8.61P will be the valid software versions for the 2700/2800/3700.

Looking at the update history at DBSTalk.com, the 5xx went from 2.23 (Oct, 04) to 3.00 (March, 05). So there wasn't a 2.78 before.

Booom!

This update has waxed my PVR 508.

Now I have reboots out of the blue.

I will be watching a show and pause for a moment...when I hit fast forward the screen turns green......then static.......then it starts running through satellites because it just rebooted.

It has done this about 4 times in the last 24 hours.

Just now I was recording a program.....hit PVR on the remote, choose something else to watch and BOOOOOM. Green screen.....reboot.

I've now noiced that the 522 receiver is screwing up again with DVR functions. I skip ahead and it suddenly comes up to the show has ended screen often.

HOW ANNOYING!!! And the audio dropouts have always been there but that is not as annoying as it trying to skip to the end of the show when its not anywhere near the end.

For those that are keeping track, it looks like the P278/5xx entry on the Tech Portal has disappeared. Perhaps the P278 wasn't the only cut/paste error, but the whole entry. Lets hope that means Dish isn't done stabilizing this buggy release.

Well, the 510 locked up last night during survivor. Not good. It had not locked up for almost a year until last night.

probably when 4.14 is bug fixed? It's my understanding that it's only deployed to some 625's and not all.

I don't mind waiting if 4.14 is going to be fairly bug-free...
