Get ready for it. It is the same one all of the Starz, Showtime and HBO.
Not to the same extent. Cinemax seems to have the most theme channels, and the least diferentiation between them.
I mean obviously they are going to have the same programming...that's the whole point of the multiplexes, to leverage the programming assets. But at least I know when I turn on Starz Family, I'm going to see something suitable for the family. Starz In Black may play a little loose with the theme (anything with a Sam Jackson cameo qualifies), but they do show cheeseball "blacksploitation" that wouldn't get shown on Starz. Also, Starz Edge seems hard to distinguish sometimes, but at night, they are more likely to show exploitation type stuff. (Starz used to be squeeky clean, and even censored R-Rated movies that ran before 6pm.)
HBO Comedy shows old HBO Comedy specials that would normally never get pulled out of the vault. Not that we get it, but HBO Zone used to even have original programming (maybe they still do).
Showtime Beyond may show soft porn at night, but they usually try to keep with the theme...like some kind of virtual reality sex movie, or something about an alien that looks like a playmate. Likewise, Showtime Extreme is more likely to show something that has a car chase between the smut scenes.
There's no excuse for showing Patton on your sci-fi/fantasy channel, or Beerfest on your "women's" channel.
