Sony HD-200 & 720p

I am planning on buying the Sony HD-200 and want to do a SDI mod on it.
First, is it worth the extra expense?
Second, can it receive 720p resolution
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I read somewhere that the Sony HD 200 is the same as the Zenith HD SAT520. If so, Robert at valueelectronics.com has the SAT520 for $199, reburbished, with no remote. I have it. It's a good receiver and has 720 and 1080 capabilities.

Correct, the LG/Zenith HD-SAT520 and the Sony HD200 are the same receiver, both made by LG/Zenith. These are widely considered as the very best ATSC and DIRECTV HD set top box.

And yes, we have them starting at $199.
