I do tend to buy the Best from the Sony line

Same here. My latest purchase was the Sony MASTER Series Bravia XR55A95L OLED 4KHDTV. That was two years ago. I have yet to experience any audio/video issues with it. It was recently updated with the My Cinema feature that comes with the new RGB LED TVs.

I left my Bravia 7 when I sold my house. Really liked it. I'll be getting the 85" Bravia 9II now.

I have the 65" version (XR65A95 K) ... Love it ... however, sorta debating on going to the RGB version, probably going to wait a year ...
I REALLY like the Anti Glare on the RGB version.

That said, I would have to see a Clear difference (being that much better than what I have).

I also really like the A95, that it sits right on the Credenza, vs the RGB having a stand that it sits up on it's own stand again, like most do/did ... I do not have a real good way to hang one in this room.

I contacted Crutchfield and asked the tech on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best how do the current Sony RGBs black levels compare with OLEDs black levels. He gave them a 7. That said, I'm waiting to see if next year's Sony RGBs black levels improve.

I'm thinking that next years may not have any difference, Sony has went a few years in between TV changes of late ...

Seeing most of the Younger crowd, enjoy watching thier little 6-7" Cell phones, in 2 years we may be going back to the old 13" Tv's ... thats what I started with, eventually we jumped all the way up to 19/20" ...
When I moved out, I bought a Huge Sony Tv, 27" was the biggest they came.
Had a Great picture and Lousy Cable Tv.

I am thinking were going back to 13 inch sets. kids today don't know what a tv is. when i moved out i spent 40k on a home thearter system with a 36 inch sony trinitron awesome PQ with lousy cable then upgraded to dtv then i was blown away at the PQ.

That was Interesting ...
I really like my OLED , mainly was thinking that the RGB tech would help with lighter rooms (I could open the curtains , lol) and they added a great Anti Glare to the RGB version.

Q. Will top of the Line OLED still be around in a few years ?
Is Sony still making the A95 in the future ?

Just pre ordered the bravia 9 ll 115 inch. the 85 inch has been amazing
