Sound level problem on Moto 6412?

I have the Motorola 6412 (dual tuner dvr) and I also have Dishnetworks 811 hd receiver. I have an Onkyo 601 both boxes are hooked up using optical cable. My problem is that the sound from the comcast box is really low but with the dish box it sounds real good. Does anybody have any idea why or how to remedy this?

The only thing I know to suggest is to try the digital coax output on the 6412 or even the analog outputs.

I have tried the coax and the optical sounds slightly better but not a good as the 811.
