Sound Out Of Sync

Every once in a while we have a channel in which the sound is out of sync with the lips/motions of the show.

We just got our HD locals setup yesterday, and the sound is out of sync on both channels.

Does anyone know of a solution for this?

I have been on DISH for almost two years now and I have same problem occasionally on our local ABC station here in Raleigh area. There is nothing you did, or can do except complain to DISH. It comes and goes here; makes me wonder what changes in the feed to trigger it. But when you see it, it drives you crazy.

Between this and audio blips (on recorded shows from same ABC station), my wife is ready for us to switch back to Directv...which we had for 10 years ad never had such problems.

You are kidding! That implies that the broadcast is ok and the VIP box is a piece of crap. OMG - I will have to try this. And if it works, I am one step closer to making the switch back to Directv in Feb '09!

It does not mean the Dish box is apiece of crap, it means that the little man inside that syncs voice to picture has taken a nap. Tap on the top of the receiver with your right index finger.
