" Discovery will depart NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, a modified Boeing 747, in the early morning of Tuesday, April 17. It is expected to arrive in the Washington, D.C. area around midmorning and will land at Washington Dulles International Airport.

...

The actual touchdown at the airport will not be visible but arrangements are being made to broadcast the arrival on NASA TV, the web, and through media coverage. ..."

From NASA TV web site:
"April 17, Tuesday 6:45 a.m. - Live Coverage of Space Shuttle Discovery’s Departure from the Kennedy Space Center - HQ (All Channels)
TBD - Space Shuttle Discovery Fly Over of Washington, DC Metro Area - HQ (All Channels) "

Yes, the Smithsonian has an Air and Space Museum near Dulles Airport.

I've seen this fly over OKC before, and it's impressive.

It's too bad they can't fly it into Ronald Reagan or they could practically push it up the 14th Street Bridge and Independence Avenue. :)

Offhand, I'm wonder where they're going to put it? Hmmm. That's a new one...I'm receiving an error when I try to insert an inline image that already in my attachment folder.

Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in /home/satguys/public_html/editpost.php on line 437
