Speaker Question

I am looking for a nice speaker system for a basement so I can play music and it wont sound crappy. I already have a theater room and surround but I want something for the rest of the basement and I want to know what is a decent and not too expensive set.

It used to be you would get a receiver that would only have 2 speaker hookups, but now it seems they are hard to find and everything is a theater setup, I am just curious what everyone would recommend.

Check out Ebay or Craigslist for an old 70's or early 80's pioneer or marantz receiver or integrated amp and a nice set of vintage speakers in good shape. you can get some amazing stuff for little money.
