Star Trek Beyond - Trailer (2016) - Paramount Pictures

I saw it this morning and I enjoyed the movie. It was bittersweet to see Chekov and Kirk teaming up knowing that Anton wouldn't be able to continue making films. There is a scene with Kirk and McCoy that I wonder if it was added as a late addition to honor Anton Yelchin.

I wonder if Walter Koenig could reprise Chekov by having some sort of radiation accident explain his extreme aging and changed appearance. Just a thought...
 
I think it was the best of the three. The interaction of the characters were the closest match to the original series. And the final "homage" to the series cast just about did me in.

After the first third of the film, which I thought sucked, I agree entirely.
