I really would like these but I just can't justify buying them again when they aren't even widescreen.

Owning the first season, and the sampler disc, it is not clear to me that widescreen is a big deal. I get that they should have taken the time to re-frame it for 16:9, but the quality in the original 4:3 is remarkable, and so much better than what was on the DVDs, which had a really poor transfer in many instances. Yet, I too am hesitant, only because I don't want to drop several hundred dollars on the shows again.

I've been waiting on a Gold Box for TNG. Picked up all three seasons. Season 4 will be out in July. I refused to buy the crap quality DVD's because I had the Columbia House VHS set and the DVD's weren't much better. I sold the VHS set years ago.

I have been debating all day about pulling the trigger on S2 and 3, but my gut is I will be able to get those prices again at some point, and I really don't need them right now, and don't need the expense.

Pacific Rim2 Confirmed.
