Hi There,
How do I keep a StarChoice Moto STB from conflicting with a VOOM STB (also Motorola and looks identical), when using the remote? One will change the channel of the other, which is not cool. Is there a way to change the codes of one, say the VOOM box, or completely block the RF input on it? I wouldn't mind manually changing the channels, as it is only for OTA reception.

Which SC model do you have?

you can change the remote address on the SC box. I had to do that when I had 2 boxes in the same area

You can change the remote address on the Star Choice remote by clicking Options, Change System Settings, Installation Settings, Set Remote Control Address.

Whatever number you have in the upper right corner has to be changed to another number.

Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. :up

Thanks everyone for replying.
It is the 530 receiver with the DVR. This is the second one and it works great (!). The first one went kaput and had to be returned.
The Remote Address was tricky. It won't allow just any 4 numbers, eg. 1111 or 1234. After close reading of the manual they must be 0000 (default) to 0007, thus 8 different codes. The next in line is 0001 followed by 0002 etc.
Both boxes now peacefully co-exist. Thanks for all your help!
