Starchoice receiver

I was rummaging around the basement the other day and came across my old Starchoice DSR-405 receiver packed away in it's original box.

I haven't been a subscriber for almost 2 years.

Is it good for anything FTA?

if you aim it at Anik F1 you can get a few channels in the clear like Knowledge, Access, U of Alberta radio, Shopping channel

As long as the box was subscribed to at one point, it will get a few channels

I still have the lnb for it too: some kind of dual-headed, quad-input one. I noticed one side uses 22 kHz switching.

The elliptical dish is still up but is currently aimed at 119 for audio and NasaTV.

The LNB is the quad which gets both 107.3 & 111.1
you could reaim the dish at that and add a DBS LNB for 119 (that's what I have...SC dish for subscription and 119 on the side of it)
