Here are some pic's and info on the future of both platforms.

Starchoice has 2 recievers at the present time. The DSR-305 and DSR-500 made by motorola, there are two new receivers coming a DSR-315 and a DSR-530DVR unit and a bigger eliptical dish then the 60cm unit which would better for southern subs. The new bird anik F2 will be turned on for us in oct and will provide 18 new channels and 3 new HD content channels and a stronger signal.

Expressvu has 3 receivers at the present time. The 3100, 5900 and 6100HD made by echostar. There are two new recievers coming the 5980 which is a dual tuner pvr aka 522 and a 9100PVR, the later will be a 921 or a 942 echostar unit for december.

As for as dishs, starchoice has eliptical dish's and bell has oval dishs although there is some talk from VU dealers that a version of the 105 superdish may be coming as a bell unit.

You really can't go wrong with both but owning both platforms and reviewing them my nod goes to starchoice for there picture quailty and less rain fade.

This is great info!!! The pic of the 500 is exactly what I needed to see.
After Voom, SC is the leading contender for our next DBS provider. Thanks again.

Yes Choice is the best small dish system I ever had. PQ was not bad, great on some channels and rain fade was only when it was real heavy, the bell/dish/dtv I had went out even in light rain, and the PQ on them was poor. I one day may get Choice again, or I may put up another BUD hmm not sure yet :)
