Where our wheels go
"SpaceX CEO and founder Elon Musk has shared more details about when in 2020 we can expect the company’s Starlink low-latency, high-bandwidth satellite internet service to actually be available to customers. He said on Twitter that a private beta for Starlink would begin in around three months, with a public beta to kick off roughly three months after that."

Internet for millions, if not billions, versus a few astronomers? Quick answer.

Astronomy is best done from space, anyway.

Any nitwits that stop SpaceX will not stop similar systems from other countries.

Here is my WAG. The FOV of most telescopes is so narrow, there will not be a Starlink satellite in the LOS except very briefly. A long exposure might not even notice. If the observing session were short exposures, or the FOV is very wide, then I think astronomers will be able to add the processing that removes the extra (or exclipsed) light from the satellites.

SpaceX has already launched 715 satellites and plans to launch about 12,000 satellites into orbit and then expand the number to 42,000. The purpose of it is to provide the Internet around the world. Internal company tests show Starlink delivers 100 Mbps
