Starmate Replay mounting

I just switched from a Starmate to a Starmate replay. I love the unit, but it is annoyingly hard to get the unit off the suction cup mount. The old starmate would just slide right out a little slot. The new radio has these stupid fingers you have to pry up. Sure makes it hard to take in the house or switch rigs. (Obviously I don't like hauling in the whole suction cup apparatus) Anyone else frustrated by this or any ideas? Thanks MB

I have mine mounted with heavy-duty velcro strips.

I also have mine mounted by velcro. I think that would help you alot.

I ended up bolting my suction cup arm to under the head unit in a little cubby hole. Switching the unit from the house, friends cars, etc has broken in the little clips. It snaps in and out very easily. I'm sure when the snaps break in a year or two, I'll just stick a piece of velcro in there instead.
