Hi everyone

I have a stupid question(from a non techy). Will I get a better picture on my plasma tv if I sign up for the dishnetworks HD programing but do not get a HD reciever. This would only be an additional $10/month and I would gladly pay this if it would give me a better pic. I currently have a 522-DVR hooked up to a Panasonic 42" EDTV Plasma. Im having a hard time justifying the $700 that I would have to shell out to get a HD-DVR and the # of high def channels seems so limited right now. Just feel I can wait a while for prices to come back down to earth on the recievers.

Thanks

You can only get HD channels with an HD receiver. You can also add an over the air antenna and watch your local channels in HD with an HD receiver. You might be able to lease an 811 receiver. It's not a DVR, but it could save you some money.
