Played it several times so my Wife would hear it.... Didn't work we're not getting a Hopper... :biggrin

Sounds like the very end of a Dish commercial that played by mistake? Also as posted above could be someone in the booth saying the phrase...

She was clearly saying the HOFer. As in hall of famer. Right after he said "the legendary hall of famer'. Like someone in the box wanted the announcer to start using that term.

Sounds like hopper to me, it also seems like a mistimed ad.It sounds just like the lady that says the hopper from dish.

Clearly said The HOFer referring to George Brett, I initially heard it on my cellphone, But it sounded more clear on what he said on my sound system :biggrin2

It sounded like hof, not hop. Regardless, I've only heard a Hall of Famer referred to as a HOFer in print, not speech.
