After more than three decades, WNBC/Channel 4 is tossing anchorwoman Sue Simmons overboard.

It's hard to believe she's 68 YOA ! She doesn't look 68.She'll re-appear on another NY station.Yes,she is a local tv icon.

I watch the News 4 pretty much everynight (just as relevent as my "Locals" from 300 miles away to me)She will be missed.

She's been there for 30 years as an outstanding anchor,but she'l lalways be remembered for her 5 second meltdown she had on a "hot mike" !

I just noticed that this is in a forum for the NBC network. This probably never belonged here but where is the right place to discuss a story concerning a local station?

Its the NBC flagship station...

but it is not the network. I don't mean to make a big deal about it---and in fact I did not even notice it for weeks----just asking where to put it. My vote would be the OTA forum since it often discusses individual stations------but clearly there are no hard and fast rules.
