Hi guys,

Here in Europe many satellite hobby sites (like sat4all.com) have a section in which people exchange information about technical issues, varying from receiver problems to computer related repair suggestions. The reason why I enter this topic is the following: my large expensive HP LP3065 monitor broke down, the cause is a defective motherboard. HP Europe is unable and unwilling to supply a replacement but meanwhile a collegue from the afore mentioned site found out that these boards (used to be/are being) sold in de USA for only US $ 25,-

Now unfortunately the satelliteguys board is my only link in technical matters to the USA so I hoped to be able to write the above request into the proper section, hoping that perhaps someone could suggest a site or address where to turn to for a replacement board. Unfortunately I found no such section, hence my suggestion (and sneaky way to publish my request hoping that someone might read and tell me how to proceed in acquiring the afore mentioned board).

With kindest regards,

Paul.

Hey Paul,

Thanks for joining us from Holland! Got to be honest we have never a request for such a forum before. Most of the technical stuff we talk about here is Satellite and there is a wealth of information here for the DISH and DIRECTV (aka Cable TV from the sky) installers.

But I should note in the past there have been a few electronics schematics posted here and unfortunately we had to take them down since they were copyrighted at the request of the manufacturer. Laws here in the US are different then other places and we do our best to operate within the lines of the law. :)

But with that said I did some quick research for you which may help you out. :)

Thanks very much, Scott, I'll try to follow up and report here if I had any success. The HP site Part Surfer gave me: Oops! The webpage you have requested on http://partsurfer.hp.com server may have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Or, you just typed the address incorrectly! And the Parts store claimed not to know my monitor. But there's still hope, I'll check if the defective part might have a serial number that the site knows. Would be better anyway because the Lp 3065 exists with several different boards.
