Tech said that HR22 has issues when only one tuner used--is this correct?

Hi all,

Had an HR22 installed as a replacement for a receiver gone bad, but it would not set up properly (hung during satellite setup). The tech said that was common with HR22s set up to use only one tuner. We ended up putting my HR21 at that location and the HR22 replaced the HR21 (which was using two tuners) and everything worked.

What's up with that? I have another HR22 that I'm thinking of putting upstairs, but there's only one input cable there also.

Anyone else heard of this issue?

i've heard of this issue. others will chime in with their experiences but when i had d installed there was only one coax available and i told the installer i would take care of it. i had some issues with my HR21 until i got that signal to the 2nd tuner. it was a bit of a pain. what did help me was when it began acting up i would attach the one coax to the other input.
