I'm not at all suggesting viewing in anything short of full 1080p at any screen, and I think I have made that clear. I'm saying that there could have been a design decision that HD doesn't have to dictate that there can't be a central unit that serves more than 1 screen and that there still can be screens with full satellite function but no box hanging along with them or needing to be placed in proximity.
Exactly, who's watching sat at all sets at once anymore? Fewer & fewer. If you have a lot of streaming, etc. in the mix, then you could send the HDMI to all with an amp splitter and get extra UHF remotes. But you would of course be limited to the single user, and this might not satisfy for all.
Does hopper or wally even do sd, and if so, why?
