I have been a Voom subscriber since the beginning.

In the early days Wilt Hildenbrand of Voom was the person I turned to if I could not resolve an issue through normal channels. Thanks Wilt for going way beyond your job description in helping the early adopters through Voom's early teething pains.

Thanks to Sean Mota for your outstanding job in moderating the Voom SatellitGuys.US forum and all of your contributions to the Voom knowledge base. Nobody could have done it better.

Lastly, I was always impressed with the friendly support I received from the Voom CSR'S. I wish you all well in your new endeavours.

[VOOM] Re: Thanks Voom CSR'S

The VOOM CSRs were the friendliest bunch of CSRs I ever knew.
I never had dealings with Wilt. So I can't comment.
I'll refrain my comments for Sean.

No problem. It was always a pleasure to make sure that everyone has the most accurate information about VOOM whether negative or positive. I also like to thanks all the moderators here at the Yahoo Group. Without them, this would have been a very hard place to share and get information. Without a doubt we all got angry at times and there were a few who tried to make impossible for us to share our thoughts and experience in reference to VOOM.

We all would have wanted or wished a different outcome but that was not the case. Whichever is your next provider, we wish you all good luck and satelliteguys and yahoo group voom forum will remain open in the future. Thank you all for your support and everyone who made this possible.

Re: [VOOM] Re: Thanks To Wilt, Sean & Voom CSR'S

I suggest to all my fellow VOOMers to be patient on finding an alternative. Compared to VOOM, all of them are inadequate.
Cable has compression and bandwith issues, and usually terrible selection.
I'm going to wait and see what Echostar is going to do with VOOM's satellite and uplink facility.
I'm betting that Dish is going to use this equipment to leapfrog over Direct in the HD arena.
I think Chuck Dolan knows that we are taken care of indirectly with Dish.
He may have even written in some stipulations in the sale to Echostar.
So I'm waiting until at least June to see what Dish is going to do with their new toys from VOOM.
I'm also betting that Wilt went with the deal.
Keep the Faith!

Stan,
I hope at least some of what you mentioned happens. I do think you are
correct on some of it at least. I have a BUD so I will go back to 4DTV
while this all gets sorted out but I really will miss Rave and ESPN HD plus
some others.
