I am a little southwest of you on Prince Edward Island. I used ONN (Horizons 2, 11734) as it was the most dependable. PBS is great but reception can forecast rain – no need to wait. There is a great tool I found through this site (http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/Satellite-Heading-Calculator.htm). It can even help with trees and such. Good luck.
i have it. i was busy . i got a bigger dish a 39" s.c. dish today now i will give it a try.
been studying all of the info i got at hand and ready to give it another try.
INTEL 9(58.0W) having an hell of a time finding that sattelite .does that bird have a strong signal? i have a new dish a star choice 39" dish does a better job on finding amc3 and amc4 with a better signal on amc4. was wondering if its as weak as g10r?
you have a couple options
switch to circular LNB and aim at Dish 61.5
if you go linear, there are a couple options...neither of which are near by
I1R at 45W has a channel on 11629 H 2207 (need Universal LNB) and footprint covers the whole US & most of canada
the other one would be SBS6/Horizons 2 at 74W. I would say 72W but the footprint looks bad by the rock...like 120cm dish possibly
74 has a better footprint
Honestly you can use any satellite you want. Just USALS the motor to the spot and aim from there
