I'm really getting to like watching this channel. For anyone who is interested in history from WWII, this movie was very interesting. It is the story of H Company from the 5th Marine Division, and tells the story of the battle for Iwo Jima. The battle lasted for about 3 weeks, and H company started with 243 Marines. When it was all over, there were only 40 who had not been killed or wounded. Over 6000 Marines died on Iwo Jima.
The movie itself, consists of battle simulations shot in HD, and they have archived footage from the actual battle intermingled with the HD. It was a very interesting story if you are interested in the subject. My Dad was a Marine, and my uncle was in the 5th Marines and survived Iwo Jima, so I really got into this one.
