"The Contract" Problems Viewing

There is an error in the HD-DVD A3. If you put the movie "The Contract" in the player and start the movie all the controls on the remote are inactive and the only button on the front of the panel that works is "STOP". You must power off the unit to gain control of the player again. If you try to replay the movie, no menu is displayed and you can't start the movie it cycles thought he opening menu segment 1 time and stops.

Work around: You must delete/clear all Persistent Storage and the movie will function again 1 time. It will play but again all the remote buttons are non-functional.

BTW: In spite of the problems, EXCELLENT Movie

I thought the movie sucked. However, this is the first I heard of this issue. I had no issues playing it in my A2.

Toshiba acknowledged the problem as known and is scheduled for the next Firmware Upgrade.

All problems noted are corrected with the 2.0 Firmware release for the HD-A3
