Regardless of rumors, that doesn't make a lot of sense.
Not for the 5S.
Not for the iPhone 6, IF it keeps the same size display.


We have enough pixel density now.
More pixels (larger screen) would be the next logical move.
And that wouldn't be on the 5S.


Some truths may be the basis for that report, but I think they've drawn the wrong conclusion.
Or maybe mixed unrelated "facts". ;)

I thought the human eye couldn't discern anything over 300ppi or so? How will going above the already higher ppi make it look any better?
 
It would be nice if they could get to 1920x1080p on 4" and 4.5+", and have a standard resolution for the iPhone, instead of the odd ball one they have now...
