Market growth for all smartphone platforms is going to be in the inexpensive handset.

The majority of the world can't afford 500 dollar handsets and that's what the typical smart phone costs without carrier subsidies.

If neither Apple nor Windows Phone responds are they will lose out on the next billion or two of handsets.
