I'm looking forward to this show. My only worry is how much they seem to be pushing it... too many advertisements.

Me too. The first night I fell asleep throughout the whole episode, so I recorded it last Friday. Only fell asleep once. Hit the rewind. All was well. Waiting to watch episode 2. Not bad. Wouldn't call it great though. Moonlight was better.

It is not really another Psych. Psych is very much a comedy. Mentalist is more like Law and Order: CI. My wife loves Psych but she would not watch Mentalist after watching the pilot. It is too dark for her and she said that the show did not explain the details of the "trick". In Psych, they show you what he saw and you know why he made the predictions. In Mentalist, you just have to take his words for it.

they did show that he was paying attention at details that others fail to realize... aka psych. I only watched episode and will watch episode two but it becomes anything like psych, I will drop.

I think Moonlight is coming up in January on Scifi... I wish it would have made it. Archiving tonights Mentalist as I type... (was away)

Mentalist, for me, is pretty narrow. Just too much of the same. Timer deleted.

I give the show a single thumb up. I have only seen 2 or 3 shows, but I see this getting old after a hald-dozen shows.
