To bring this thread back to the OP’s questions, cdrodrules answered the manual timers question in post 2. Now the other 2 questions, regarding remaining space on the Hopper HD and file size. There really doesn’t seem to be a way to see the file size of any program. Remaining space on the hard drive can be found in a very awkward way, as dare2be mentions in post 35: DVR, Timers, Options, Manage Timers, Select any program, when you get the checkmark, Press 6. From there you will see the size and remaining space on both the Hopper and the EHD. That seems to be all that is available.

DVR > Options > Manage Recordings...

I tried it the way you listed it (from the Timers tab). It did not work.

DVR > Options > Manage Recordings > 6 (transfer to external drive) will display the total space and free space.

Of course this option is only available if you have an external drive connected.

Thank you for the correction, it is Recordings, not Timers!
