Let's see if we all understand this now - as an NFL team you hire a head of security to provide, well, security. So there he is, on duty, an opposing player comes to his sideline and starts fighting with personnel and he does his job, provide security for his employer. Here's where it starts to get nutty, those ever bright NFL officials toss the head of security from the field for doing his job. Now that's dumb enough but the league just has to take it one step further and has now banned the guy from the sidelines for this weeks game too. Only in the twisted minds of the NFL could this make sense. In effect the league is saying hey, no point in having security people on the sidelines because we're not going to let them do their job anyway. And no, the player involved was not banned.
