For the non-gamers, maybe opera, sports. Maybe an effing calibration disc--still waiting for Digital Video Essentials and Avia.

This isn't a replication issue. I believe there was some issues with the authoring tools early on. I'm just speculating. I can't for the life of me wonder why Blu-Ray videophiles that insist their movies look better than HD-DVD's (Best of both is the same) aren't up in arms about this.

Hopefully Digital Playground gives the Blu guys a 1080i version of Pirates on a real BD rather than the 720p version we got on a DVD-9.

I agree that it's good news that Blu-Ray is getting more porn. I went with HD-DVD because it was cheaper and had porn. I stuck with it because of the better specs. (I stand by that until BD-Live comes out.) Those were all the signs that VHS showed of winning over Betamax.
