Hoda has been in so far this week for Savannah, she is a much better fit for the first 2 hours imho, NBC missed the boat not moving her to this slot. (Of course we all know how brilliant their suits have been for the last few years ...)

I guess instead of where in the world we get them going across the US this year... (which makes more sense)
The Today show team seem to be the only ones in Moore, they were traveling so I Imagine there was a lot of scrambling to get trucks onsite...
The Today Show has a new Director
Rob George has been named director of NBC's "Today," TVNewser has learned. For the last three seasons George has been the director of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" He replaces Joe Michaels who was upped to Senior Director last month.

Anyone would be a good fill in for Savannah. She's just not very magnetic, imo. NatMo is far more likeable.
