There’s another option besides the Affordable Connectivity Plan

It seems like good internet service is as important as lights or heat these days. What would you do if you lost internet service? How would you even stay in touch with people. Now imagine not having internet at all, or worrying about it getting shut down because you couldn’t afford it.

That’s why the federal government created the Affordable Connectivity Program, or ACP. If you or your kids qualify for pretty much any sort of federal aid, you can probably also qualify for a discount on your internet service and a one-time rebate on a new device. It’s a way to make sure you have the connection you need. To me, it seems like a great idea.

If you’re asking, “how does our government even function?”

The funding for the government’s Affordable Connectivity Program is set to run out in April unless it’s renewed. For now, they’ve suspended new signups. I’m not an accountant or a congressional scholar, but it seems like all that needs to happen is that the people in the House of Representatives need to just agree to do it. But, over and over again it seems like we get right to the brink of losing funding for something before they act. Again, not pointing fingers at one side or another. Truth is, it’s the public that suffers no matter what.

It’s very possible that it will get down to the wire, to the last few days, and someone will strike a deal with someone and the program will continue. But why not take advantage of it while it’s definitely here and ready to go? You could be saving money right now. You might not even need to change your service provider. It’s just a couple of forms and we will help you through the process.

Find out if you would qualify and start getting that discount

To get more information, visit Signal Connect’s informational page here. It’s a quick read, and then you can call us or fill out the form at the bottom of the page. It’s a good idea to get that consultation now so you’ll be first in line if the program is renewed. There’s nothing to lose, really. We’ll give you a free consultation to help you be sure you qualify. Then we’ll get everything set up for you. Before you know it, you’ll have internet service, and a few more bucks in your pocket.

But seriously, don’t wait. You don’t want to leave this money on the table. You can also contact your local representative and let them know you want the ACP to be reauthorized. That’s up to you. For now, check out all the information out there and let Signal Connect take care of the hard stuff so you can start saving money.
