Thinking about FTA

I just cancelled my Expressvu subscription. I don't watch it that much and i could not stand the expense. My question is as follows. I know the Bell dish is useless for FTA, But can the mast support a 31 or 39 inch FTA dish or not. If it cant I will use it for an OTA antenna. Thank you for the help.

If it's on a pole in the ground, it could work, need to know what diameter the pipe is.
Take off the dish and measure pipe, let us know.

yes it will work...I have a 36" dish on a D500 mast which was used for ExpressVu a few years ago.

The mast is 1 5/8". Some of the larger dishes use a bigger mast. I know the Primestar dishes & DirecPC dishes use a 2 3/8" or larger mast but I have mounted a 76cm & 90cm on an old Dish500 mast with no issues.

If you need a larger diameter pipe one can always make a collar and bolt or weld it on. Did that with 2 pipes, work's well. Here's a picture of my Primestar pipe I modified for 3"
