Thinking about returning to Dish...Activating/Deactivating receivers?

Had Dish a few years ago, have Comcast and thinking about coming back to Dish. The new three year promo is enticing and I would need 4 TV's connected (Hopper + 3 Joeys. I have asked this question to Dish reps three times and got three different answers: Can I deactivate the 3 Joeys and reactivate them for when I need them? One rep said yes, one said no and one said I would have a return receiver fee on my account until I reactivated the receiver or I could have a second account the other receivers (made no sense to me).

Pretty sure you need to return the Joey's when you deactivate. You would be better off buying your Joey's and then you can activate /deactivate when you want.

If your going with H3, make sure you get Joey 2.0's.

Maybe that's why Dish is replacing, for free, those old Joey 1s with an upgrade to H3....
