List of HD Channels/Services moving from G1 to F2 in 2019
Bravo HD
CBC News Network HD
CBC Winnipeg HD
City TV Edmonton HD
Comedy Network HD
CTV Calgary HD
CTV News Network HD
Discovery HD
E! HD
Family East HD
Global Montreal HD
TCM HD
W Network HD
Addik TV HD
ARTV HD
Le Canal Nouvelles HD
RDI HD
Teletoon French HD

18 Services are moving from G1 presumably this will allow for the conversion of the remaining Std Def channel/services that are G1. Presently there are 26 Std Def channels on G1. They currently put about 9 channels per transponder so 26/3 = 8.666666 so they could spilt them up 9/9/8 and finish the HD conversion sometime at the end of 2019.

Ok that's important for some of us,

If it were only for TCM, and losing many other channels, I guess I'd keep subscribing to Shaw, even if I'm outside G1's footprint.

Thanks for the update LOSat, getting CBC and CTV news networks is a big deal for me.

Shaw Broadcast has posted the final(?) transition plans for Phase III MPEG4 conversion.
All the channels in post 21 are still moving to F2. (incl CBC/CTV News and TCM)
There seems to be a few more channels that will remain in Std Def format.

Among them the:
Stingray video channels/Aux/Vintage (although Vintage could disappear all together as Vintage UK is in trouble)
Some of the Adult channels
Many of the ethnic/3rd language channels/EWTN
Fashion TV and a Legislative channel

It looks like the French Std Def channels will be first to start to drop, starting on April 2nd
The conversion to MPEG4 will be complete by Oct 16.
