I saw Kid Rock (no relation to Chris Rock) at the Bristol Nascar race once. He was surrounded by bodyguards and at the time, not many knew who he was getting out of the armored Excursion. Mean while actually Nascar stars were walking the crowd signing autographs.

Kidd looked like a chump. Minor celeb surrounded by real celebs who acted as if they appreciated the fans.

True. My first "introduction" to him was when I happened to see one of his videos. It was nothing more than a Metallica tune (don't remember which one) played instrumentally while he just shouted some constant ramblings for the "vocals". I didn't get it, and I didn't like it. But I do like Metallica.
