First of all, I would like to thank all of the hobbyists and commercial operators worldwide for your suggestions and assistance with testing and reports! The New and Improved ASC1 Loader / Editor Software Version 2.0 and upgrade firmware - 20151019v1 is now approved for public release and available for download at: http://titaniumsatellite.com/updates

Important Notice: Firmware version 20151019v1 can only be loaded with legacy ASC1 Loader/Editor versions 1.7 and 1.8. Once this firmware and bootloader upgrade is complete, only Loader/Editor version 2.0 and higher will read and write with the ASC1. Please carefully read the release notes included with the Loader / Editor 2.0 and with firmware 20151019v1.
  • Add Support for 199 Satellite Positions: The ASC1 and the Editor software now supports up to 199 automatic DiSEqC 1.2 or manual selected satellite positions.
  • Software East/West Limit Display and Read/Write: The Software East and West limits are now displayed in the ASC1 menu and the East/West values can be read or written by Loader / Editor 2.0
  • Modify DiSEqC 1.2 Sampling: New coding for DiSEqC 1.2 command processing addressing the commands strings issued by some receivers during movement, loss of signal or scanning through satellite or channel lists.
  • Modify Count Sampling: Address compatibility issues with unique models of actuators and AJAK HH motors. Increased high count sensors circuit resolution to 75hz.
  • Modify - USB/Serial Converter Compatibility: Increased compatibility with USB/Serial RS-232 Converters using authentic chipsets.

The major change we made in this firmware is the way that the ASC1 listens to the connected satellite receiver and the returned motor switch counts. It was discovered that the switch count could be momentarily interrupted if the connected receiver issued or reissued a DiSEqC command in a unique or non-compliant string during the motor movement process. The DiSEqC handling process is often quite different between receivers and often not DiSEqC protocol compliant.

The receiver DiSEqC commands and ASC1 satellite selections are now monitored differently and will only execute if a compliant DiSEqC string is confirmed to be different than the current command routine. If the received command is to reverse the dish direction of travel, the motor is stopped with count monitoring before a delayed instruction to reverse the motor direction is initiated.

Thank you for your continued support of the ASC1 and for your feedback to make it even better!
