Tivo? Can tivo Work with FTA? Help

I just purchased a Sony Series 1 tivo for $20.00 from circut city. I figured from talk, it's hackable and maybe I can get it to work with a FTA reciever. Is anyone here using TIVO? I would love to hear from anyone who has input.

I believe it will work. You will have to make manual recordings and get the two talking to where the tivo will change the DVB receivers channels. I imagine you will have to setup a channel list and if you have a motor, you will probably need to pad the recordings to where they motor will move, then you will start to record.

Tivo cost's about $13 a month.
